Courage Fiber Friday Spin

I really love this yarn! Sooo much! It was a 'leftover' batt using blues, purples and blacks and a few other colours that just found their way into the mini-batt. Wish I knew what was in it so that I could replicate it! :)

Corespun around a synthetic mohairy yarn with lots of locks tail-spun in. What does this have to do with courage? I've never tailspun before (this yarn was made before the rusty one) so it took a bit of courage :)

Get Rusty NAYS Colour Challenge

Carded the red-orange-rust fibre (just like Spiced Summer batts on Etsy) so that they transition from one colour to the next. Spun this uber thick and thin with a very thin black merino that was carded with hollyberry Angelina autowrapping as I spun. Intermittently added a black merino/hollyberry angelina beehive that was added around the autowrapping and the rust fibre.
I tried adding locks into the beehive on a couple of them, but I think I need to get my beehives a little more tight first!

Osseous Tissue Picto-Create Challenge

Stacks and stacks of mohair sent through the carder with a little bit of merino (so it wouldn't get stuck) and a fair bit of forest green Angelina.

Loosely corespun around a light green, sparkly, synthetic yarn, which unfortunately didn't come through too well. Remembered at the end the advice for translucent corespinning- Use hardly any fibre. If you think you are using little enough, you are still using too much. Must remember this next time! :)
